Wyler Art Studio News: March 2009

Kristine Wyler's painting, Flight, was sold at the Hearts of Hope Public Arts Contest 2009, with a portion of the proceeds given as a donation to the Domestic Violence Project Inc.

This spring, Kris will be showing her work in several shows. Watermedia Wizards at Kent State Stark Campus's Gallery 6000, will open on April 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m., and will run through July 2. The Canton Artist League's Spring Show will be at the Canton Museum of Art, May 21-June 21. An Opening Reception will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. Kris's abstract painting, Inferno, continues to warm up its viewers at the 2nd April Galerie, located at 324 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio.

This summer, Kris will be teaching two art classes at Malone College. Watercolor for Art Teachers will be offered June 22-26. Students will learn to do "pours," fix watercolor mistakes, and if weather permits, they will try plein air painting. Acrylic Painting Projects for Art Teachers will be offered July 6-10, and will offer the student experience with a variety of acrylic paints, gels, textures, mediums and finishes.
