Fine Art by Kristine Wyler

Artist Kristine Wyler lives in North Canton, Ohio, although she's a regular visitor to Kennebunkport, Maine, Woodstock, Vermont, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Santa Barbara and Montecito, California, and Scottsdale, Arizona., as well. Kris paints florals, landscapes, and portraiture, working in multi-media, including watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and oil. The height of Kristine's joy in life is matched only by the depth of her spirituality, and both emanate vibrantly from each of her paintings.

Kristine Wyler has studied painting with many teachers, including Marcia Moses, author of Easy Watercolor: Learn to Express Yourself and Creative Watercolor : New Ways to Express Yourself. Prior to painting with watercolor, Kristine studied porcelain and china painting, which is where she developed her signature style of "soft edges."

Kris Wyler

Kristine's love of art developed in early childhood at the knees of her mother, who helped Kris explore many forms of art and design. Kristine's uncle, Alvin Engler, was a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, and he once told her, "If you have the will to paint, you will paint." Kristine did have the will and has since studied with many teachers in multiple media, and she credits each teacher with bringing out new facets of her talents.

Kris is a member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, Canton Artists League, Canton Museum of Art, Massillon Museum, and the North Canton Little Art Gallery.
